What YOU Got Hustle Man?

One of my favorite shows I enjoyed watching was The Martin Show. If you're a fan of the show then I am  pretty sure your familiar with Tracy Morgan's character as Hustle Man. As I was enjoying the show, I  could not help but share his business entrepreneur skills.

The Martin Show

Hustle Man The Martin TV Show is perhaps one of the sitcoms that will be remembered for a long time. This series that focuses on the Martin Payne’s involvement with his girlfriend as well as his dynamic nature in that allows him to take up different jobs. Although the show has numerous other characters, Martin who is a comedic genius is the centre of the show as every episode focuses on hilarious circumstances. He is also warm-hearted and generous, traits that would always shine through every episode. One of the outstanding qualities of Martin was the ability to take up different roles and work on them perfectly. The Martin Show

One of the most memorable roles in the show is Hustle Man. This role was played by Tracy Morgan. Hustle man is a character that you will love because of his determination to make ends meet by doing whatever it takes to make some money. It is interesting to see Hustle Man confidently promoting services as well as products that are questionable, albeit at unbelievably discounted rates. As such, Hustle Man would in most cases be spotted on tough urban streets where he would sell black market goods that are interestingly lined within the trench coat that he would always wear. At one time, Hustle Man is determined to sell an array of appetizing roasted pigeons that are impaled on a branch of a tree as in the case of barbecues. It is hilarious to see him trying to convince Martin and his buddies to purchase even as they were starving. Another memorable episode is where he is busy offering door to door catering services from a shopping cart that is stolen. Hustle Man- The Martin ShowHustle Man also takes up the role of a wedding planner for Martin in a different episode where he appears with plastic flowers in a shopping cart. In addition to the flowers he also has a 40 ounce bottle of malt liquor and chitlin loaf. The rationale behind Martin hiring the wedding planner is to retaliate against his fiancée’s choice of an elegant as well as overly priced wedding planner. Hustle man had even coined a slogan for his enterprise that went like this “What you got Hustle Man? What you selling? You know my sales slogan, You want it, I got it, If I aint got it…I’mma get it, so get it while the gettins good”. Generally speaking, Hustle Man was known to sell random items that he had gotten from his hood. In addition, he also had a Chihuahua pet that he used to dress like a rapper. Hustle Man Chihuahua

"I don't do dat for erra'body! I'm just tryna help YOU out!"

Another interesting episode of the Martin Show is where Martin is out trying to negotiate for a recording deal for a certain girl when suddenly Hustle Man interrupts this meeting. He further goes ahead to insist that he too can get paid to sing as he plays a saxophone he had brought along. What is funny is that he simply cannot coordinate his singing, dancing and playing of the saxophone yet when Martin confronts him about his actions, he still insists that he can sing and get paid.  In summary, while the Martin Lawrence show had various characters, Hustle Man happens to be the most hilarious of them all and a reason to keep watching the show years after the screening was concluded.
Enjoy.
